Witchy Woman
Its almost mid October 1st it's definitely okay to start making some Halloween projects. Heck, I think Target started with Halloween sometime back in August..yikes! Speaking of way back in August, did you get to attend the Stamp Away convention at the Sharonville Convention Center? I did! My friend Kathy and I attended the preview party on Friday night and stayed at the hotel across from the convention center. The extra money was well worth the preview night. They only sell 500 tickets so it isnt crowded at all. You can walk around and have plenty of space to shop and time to speak with the vendors. One of the nicest booths this year was the Taylored Expressions booth. Not only was it decorated nicely, but the staff was amazing. A very helpful group of ladies who represented their company wonderfully. The colored samples were out of this world! I wish they had some coloring lessons online! The little witch for todays card is a Taylored Expressions stamp but the one they colored up was so much better than mine. Sniff...sniff! I used a Martha Stewart punch for the creepy little fence and various paper lines for the card. Hop on over and check out this site if you didnt have the pleasure of meeting them at the convention. They have loads of cute stamps and really fun card layout ideas. Definitely a site to bookmark. Happy Stamping!

Purr-fect Cards
Join me on Saturday, Oct 13 from 2-4pm at The Paper Cottage in Beavercreek for an afternoon of cardmaking. This is purr-fect for the beginner stamper who want to learn how to color. I will demonstrate Copic Marker blending with C1 & C3 and a basic background technique with BG0000, BG10, and the colorless blender. In addition, I will show you how to use a copic base and shade using colored pencils and how to paper piece a stamped image for dimension.
We will be using "Charming Kitties" stamps from Inky Antics.
If you would like your own set of these stamps, pre-order your stamps when you sign up for class.
I used the following Copics: C3, C1, colorless blender, BG10, BG0000, E02, E21, YR16, R32.
Items needed for class: scissors, pop dots, adhesive, markers of our choice (I recommend bring the 5 copics listed above), pencils, Gamsol, & crystal stickles.
